Graphic designer: visual troublemaker

One day you’re building a brand from scratch. The next you’re laying out a magazine, designing a campaign, making social content move or trying to convince everyone that yes, that font really does make a difference.

We’re looking for a graphic designer with a sharp eye, good taste and enough ideas to make blank artboards slightly nervous.

Someone who can turn a rough sketch into something beautiful, a strategy into a visual world and “can you make the logo a little bigger?” into something we can all live with.

And yes, every once in a while you might still end up designing your future boss’s Christmas card. Stay humble.

Things you can bring to the table:

  • You have a degree in design and some relevant work experience. Or you’re a wildly talented recent graduate who is sick of every junior vacancy asking for three years of experience. Show us what you’ve got.
  • Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator feel like home. After Effects? Bonus points. Lots of them.
  • You don't just make things pretty. You understand brands, ideas and why a design needs to work.
  • You enjoy a good creative brainstorm and aren’t afraid to throw your own ideas into the room.
  • You can jump from branding to campaigns, print, digital and social without suffering an identity crisis.
  • You have an eye for detail. Yes, you noticed that one pixel too.
  • You can handle feedback without dramatically deleting your Adobe account.
  • Hard deadlines don’t scare you. Bad kerning does.
  • You’re positive and generally fun to have around. At least after your first coffee.

Things we can bring to the table:

  • A fulltime, indefinite-term contract.
  • A salary according to your experience and talent.
  • A wonderfully unhealthy variety of projects, brands and clients.
  • Work that actually gets made, printed, posted, launched, watched and occasionally put on very large billboards.
  • A laptop and smartphone.
  • Creative colleagues who care perhaps a little too much about ideas, words, colours and whether something is really finished.
  • A personal email signature in the SirFish colours of your choice. Career goals.
  • An inspiring office space right in the centre of Hasselt.
  • Real coffee, a stocked fridge and your own place at the table on vettige vrijdag.

Still here? Good.

Don’t just tell us you’re creative. That would be a disappointing start.

Show us.

Send us the best-designed résumé we’ve ever seen. A portfolio that makes us slightly jealous. A ridiculous self-promo. An impressive Photoshop trick. Redesign this vacancy if you really want to make things awkward for us.

Whatever shows us how your brain and your eyes work.

Get us hooked.

Convince us with the best designed resume we've ever seen, a show-stopping portfolio or an impressive (Photoshop) magic trick. Whatever proves your worth, send it to us through the form below or by post to Raamstraat 12, 3500 Hasselt.
