The days when Jenever was produced in brick factories, with giant stone things producing fire, operated by bearded men hoisting wooden barrels onto carts driven by weirdly muscular horses, are long gone.
Factories became facilities, giant stone things became giant metal things and the only men with beards involved in the process are the mixologists who prepare your jenevercocktail in that trendy bar you spent half your salary in every weekend.
But that didn’t stop us from celebrating the craftsmanship that goes into the production of our national pride: Jenever. At Smeets they’ve been doing that for over 100 years. And it's a good thing they still use the wooden barrels, otherwise this craftsmanship-video would be reaaaal challenging.
In the mood for a Smeets after watching this video? Great, let's grab one and discuss your next campaign.
